Role Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is a vital member of the Exceptional Student Services team, partnering with regional instructional leaders, campus leaders, and teachers to maximize student outcomes. In this role, you will set ambitious goals for student achievement and actively invest families in accomplishing them. You will design a powerful learning environment and deliver purposeful therapy to close communication and academic gaps, assessing disorders and tracking data to continuously refine your approach as an expert educator.

What You Will Do

Review IEPs to ensure 100% implementation of top-quality speech therapy services. Collaborate with parents, general/special educators, and interventionists to build instruction-aligned IEPs. Ensure 100% compliance with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) timelines by tracking Special Education Student Rosters weekly. Schedule, facilitate, and document Annual and Re-Evaluation ARDs prior to due dates.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
  • National Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Expert knowledge in the evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of communication disorders using accepted measurements.
  • Strong student behavior management skills and exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and organizational communication skills.
