Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will facilitate student achievement in language and literacy through consultation, collaboration, and direct and indirect speech-language services with students, teachers, and parents. The SLP will support an educational environment that encourages positive student learning and participate in a dynamic setting with classroom teachers, administrators, and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school's programs and goals.

What You Will Do

The SLP will work with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on programs and activities for students and the school. They will participate as an active member with other faculty and staff, plan and implement programs of continuing school improvement, and manage classroom and supervise equipment. The SLP will also diagnose and analyze student progress, provide appropriate instruction, and utilize technology and current research in instruction.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or doctoral degree in Speech/Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a 2-year non-renewable Temporary Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired. The candidate will also have a Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible for such as prescribed by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. They will have knowledge of speech and language development, therapy intervention, and learning processes, and be able to work effectively with people to focus resources toward the achievement of district expected results.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech/Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligible for such as prescribed by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
