Job Description
The State Parks, Forests and Historic Sites Department is seeking a Research Scientist 2 for its Forest & Natural Lands Program. This is a full-time, in-person, NL position (35-hour week) under a defined supervisor. The role involves conducting research, documenting species/community occurrences, assisting with database management, and preparing reports. The position requires a commitment to environmental protection and data integrity within the Natural Heritage Database.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Three (3) years of full-time experience in a field appropriate to the position.
  • Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the position (if applicable)
  • Valid driver’s license in New Jersey.
