Role OverviewThe Sports Coach will lead the facility's youth (and some adult) sports offerings, including leagues, developmental classes, after-school programs, clinics, camps, private trainings, sports performance sessions, and birthday parties. The role involves coaching and developing athletes in various ice sports, designing and implementing training programs, and fostering a positive and competitive environment.
What You Will Do
Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques to athletes, developing and implementing training programs, conducting on-ice and off-ice training sessions, and providing feedback and motivation.

Requirements
- Coaching licenses (or active pursuit of)
- Proven experience as a coach or in a related role, with a strong background in the specific ice sport
- Ability to demonstrate and participate in on-ice activities
- At least 2 years of appropriate coaching/teaching sport in youth programs for athletes of various aptitudes
- Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Must have excellent leadership and motivational skills
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, predominately after-school and weekends
- Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified period
- Neat in appearance and professional in manner
- Strong knowledge of sports coach rules, techniques, and strategies
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
