Job Description
The Sports Director will develop, organize, and implement high-quality YMCA Sports programs for youth and adults, and supervise youth and adult sports operations and program activities. The role involves developing program budgets, recruiting and training staff, and motivating personnel and volunteers to achieve goals. The Sports Director will also be responsible for maintaining accurate sports records, coordinating facilities use, and providing excellent member service.

Requirements

  • Develops, organizes, and implements high-quality YMCA Sports programs for youth and adults.
  • Directs, supervises and monitors youth and adult sports operations and program activities.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, directs and motivates personnel and volunteers.
  • Maintains accurate sports records, including program registration forms, program stats and attendance rosters, and equipment.
  • Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and assists with special events.
  • Provides excellent member service and follows membership retention practices of the branch.
