Job Description
Syngenta Seeds is one of the world’s largest developers and producers of seed for farmers, commercial growers, retailers and small seed companies. The company improves crop quality and yields through high-quality seeds, advanced seeds that help mitigate risks, and innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive in challenging growing conditions. The SPR Field & Process Technology Scientist will use agronomic expertise and collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities that drive yield and seed quality improvements in seeds production.

Requirements

  • Graduate education/degree preferred but can be supplemented with significant relevant experience
  • Seeds production knowledge across a range of crops required (3 years of industry experience)
  • Thorough understanding of experimental design and statistical analysis
  • Practical experience leveraging AI-driven tools in a work setting
  • Appreciation of statistical or modeling approaches
  • Organization, planning, pro-activity and reactivity leadership, flexibility, and availability
  • Impactful communication, open-minded, with an aptitude to develop easy contacts with all customers
  • Cross functional and multi-cultural project management aptitude
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification desired
