Role Overview

The Sr. Administrative Director is the senior administrative leader responsible for the Division's overall performance, strategic direction, and operational excellence across BWH, MGH, their physician organizations, and affiliated sites. This role sits at the center of clinical operations, research, and education across our Academic Medical Centers (AMCs), with responsibility for a highly visible, multi-entity portfolio spanning two flagship institutions.

What You Will Do

Lead financial, operational, and administrative performance, serve as a key partner to executive leadership, and play a central role in integrating the Division across AMCs into a unified model. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership & integration, operations & clinical management, research & education administration, financial leadership, and people & organizational leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in academic medicine or a complex health system
  • Proven ability to lead in a highly matrixed, multi-entity environment
  • Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen
  • Track record of delivering results in data-driven environments
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
