Role OverviewWEG is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Application Engineer to join our growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) team. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and trusted partner to Sales, Project Execution, and Customers throughout the BESS solution development lifecycle.
What You Will Do
Lead technical support for pre-sales activities, develop system configurations, perform system sizing, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Service teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in application engineering, systems engineering, power systems, renewable energy, or battery storage
- Strong understanding of utility-scale BESS architecture
- Experience with grid interconnection studies, SCADA, EMS, PPC, or utility coordination
- Familiarity with UL, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 855, and other applicable standards and codes
