Role OverviewThis role requires a Senior Engineer with 7+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering to contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled workflows. The Sr Engineer will work alongside AI-powered tools, maintaining strong engineering judgment, validation, and accountability for outcomes. The role involves leveraging approved AI tools and agents to assist with platform operations, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and workflow efficiency under established governance and best practices.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Engineer on the INFOPS Application Development team, you will design, build, and operate the platforms that support WWT's internal application development organization. This includes owning and evolving the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, designing and writing GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines, and owning and operational responsibility for shared platforms.

Requirements
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting production workloads
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms across development, test, and production environments
- Experience administering or enabling at least one enterprise platform or shared service such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Apache Solr
- Demonstrated experience with service mesh architectures, traffic management, or load balancing in Kubernetes environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh, APIs, and GitOps-based approaches
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration-as-code, and automation practices (e.g., Helm, Ansible, Terraform, YAML-based pipelines)
- Strong Linux skills with demonstrated knowledge of operating system concepts and administration
- Experience with monitoring and observability solutions; experience with Prometheus and Grafana is a strong plus
- Comfort scripting or coding in languages such as Shell, Python, or Node.js
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- A self-starter mindset with strong ownership, organization, and a passion for learning new technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
