Sr. GIS Specialist (m/f/d)

The Sr. GIS Specialist will support the company's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants by mapping and visualizing routes and challenges across all North American projects. The role requires a deep understanding of wind turbine transportation and experience with GIS systems, including ArcGIS.

What You Will Do

Develop maps to identify Nordex transportation solutions and constraints, perform basic design tasks, and travel up to 30% to attend client meetings and perform field surveys.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Engineering, Cartography, Geospatial Science or related field(s)
• Minimum 5 years of field experience with wind projects
• Deep, specialized background routing and moving wind turbine components
• 5 years of design experience with ArcGIS and other GIS systems
• Passion for wind turbine transportation industry
• High proficiency in ArcGIS
• Working knowledge with laser and photographic data processing
• Initiative-taking, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly, manage multiple and conflicting deadlines, and establish priorities
• Valid US or CA Driver’s License
• Willingness to travel to project site locations when necessary
• Advanced knowledge of office procedures, document management MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the Goggle Workspace Suite
