Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Operations Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Radiation Protection and work control systems, with 8+ years of relevant experience and 5 years of directly applicable experience in Radiation Protection and/or work planning in a DOE Cat 2 nuclear facility.

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science and 8+ years of relevant experience and, 5 years of directly applicable experience in Radiation Protection and/or work planning in a DOE Cat 2 nuclear facility.
  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
  • Experience in a DOE Category 2 nuclear facility or equivalent high-hazard nuclear environment.
  • Strong background in Radiation Protection and work control systems.
  • Desired Skills – U.S. Nuclear Navy experience, DOE plutonium facility experience, and strong Conduct of Operations (ConOps) knowledge.
