Sr Principal Systems Engineer

Serve as a technical lead and systems engineer on challenging software development projects. Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks, including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (IV&V). Act as Technical Leader of medium to large engineering development teams.

What You Will Do

Serve as a technical lead and systems engineer on challenging software development projects such as the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) or the Battlespace Command and Control Center (BC3). Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (IV&V).

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Recognized subject matter expertise in deployed Command and Control (C2) systems.

Requirements

• Experience with design and requirements derivation for software
• Some technical leadership or mentoring experience
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required
