Sr Software Engineer

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of new software applications and the maintenance and enhancement of Origence's various software products and solutions.

What You Will Do

Spend approximately 90% of your time actively designing and coding in support of the immediate team, and 10% researching new technology, coaching, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, ideally in business process automation or financial services applications
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with .NET, C#, and Windows tools and languages, as well as modern web frameworks (Angular via TypeScript, React, or Vue)
• Solid understanding of data repository models is required; experience with both SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL is preferred
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, Domain-Driven Design, Test/Behavior-Driven Design, event-driven design via asynchronous messaging, and microservice architecture
• Preferred experience: ASP.NET, WCF, Web Services, NServiceBus, Azure Cloud, and Infrastructure Code (IaC)
• DevOps experience as a full-stack developer owning the full software development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI development workflows and AI-assisted coding tools — specifically Claude Code CLI (or comparable agentic CLI tooling) applied to real development tasks within a governed SDLC
• Strong track record of writing unit and integration tests for all code produced
