2026 ESY SPSA Instructional Assistant HIGH SCHOOL


Location: Wakefield HS


    July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026


Professional Days and Orientation: July 1, 2


   SPSA Secondary Program for Students with Autism


 


Qualifications:


Graduation from high school or equivalent education; and 



  1. 60 college credits from a regionally accredited college/university; or 

  2. A qualifying score on the ParaPro (455 or better).


 


Preferred:


Reliable, dependable, flexible, and punctual. 


Flexible and willing to work as a team.


Knowledge of the needs of students with disabilities.


Ability to take initiative appropriately.


 


Experience:  


Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.


One year working with students who have disabilities 


 


Responsibilities Include:


Assist individuals or groups of students with classroom activities under the guidance and direction of a teacher.


Assist with classroom and behavior management plans under teacher guidance and direction.


Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, student services staff, and families.


Perform other tasks as assigned by teacher, site-administrator, or coordinator
