Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing operational data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and assisting the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements. The role involves managing fixed assets, sales commissions, physical inventory, and developing operational procedures and documentation of data flow. The Staff Accountant will also assist in the month-end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis and reconciliation.

What You Will Do

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports, as well as general ledger detail review and proper creation of journal entries. The role also involves ensuring inventory matches asset accounting, performing performance analysis of operations, and developing financial plans and forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA certification is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on managerial accounting experience
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll working knowledge
• Experience in assessing, analyzing, and improving business performance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills -- proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• SAP experience preferred
• ADP experience preferred
