Role OverviewWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in contributing to the success of Merchology. The team is responsible for preparing and maintaining timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with the monthly close process, and preparing and posting recurring and adjusting journal entries.
What You Will Do
The Staff Accountant will prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries, assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and management reports, and analyze account activity and investigate unusual or unexpected variances.

Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting position
- Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting or related field
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze account activity and identify discrepancies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Collaborative and professional interpersonal skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, PivotTables, and large datasets
- Experience with NetSuite or another ERP/accounting system preferred
