Job Description
The Accounting Staff is primarily responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. The Accounting Staff will work closely with the Corporate Controller and Senior Accountant to develop and implement Maplewood Staff Living’s accounting functions and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Proficiency in accounting software preferred but not required (e.g., Yardi or similar ERP systems, FloQast, and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Proficiency in data automation and analysis tools is a preferred but not required (e.g. Vena, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Python)
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and familiarity with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders and to collaborate with other departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports.
  • High ethical standards and integrity when handling financial transactions and sensitive data.
