Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) is seeking a Staff Attorney 2 in the Legal Affairs Unit. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance to leadership and staff, interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations, and assist with policy, contract, and regulatory matters. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in the practice of law.
  • Considerable knowledge of legal principles, practices and procedures in Connecticut.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant state and federal laws, statutes, regulations and legislation.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
