Job Description
Role Overview

The Staff Attorney will provide legal services and engage in individual and systemic representation and litigation. The role involves reporting to the PADD program initially and different programs thereafter as needed. The Staff Attorney will work with diverse groups of individuals and travel within and outside the state as necessary.

What You Will Do

The Staff Attorney performs a wide range of duties, including providing legal representation, investigating allegations of abuse and neglect, monitoring service providers, and analyzing cases to determine systemic issues. The role also involves consulting with professionals, leading projects and initiatives, and maintaining accurate files and records.

Requirements

  • Be a member in good standing of the New York State Bar or eligible to waive in from another jurisdiction
  • Have 0 to 5 years experience
