Role Overview

Luminus Network is seeking an experienced Staff Attorney to join our Legal Services team. This position may be filled on either a full-time or part-time basis. The Staff Attorney will provide high-quality immigration legal representation while supporting the day-to-day operations of the legal department.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will manage an immigration caseload while also contributing to program development, quality assurance, staff training, grant support, and community outreach. Essential responsibilities include representing clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Maryland.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of immigration law experience.
  • Experience representing clients before Immigration Court (EOIR).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel for court appearances, training, and business needs.
