Role Overview

The Trainer designs and delivers effective learning programs for the Department of Adult Correction, with a primary focus on Combined Records. The role works closely with management and subject matter experts to assess training needs, document processes, and turn technical information into clear, engaging learning resources.

Key duties include developing and delivering training programs, assessing training needs, turning technical information into clear training content, reviewing feedback and performance data, and keeping training materials accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Three years of training development experience in a progressive training or teaching role
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design principles, practices, and theories
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective training programs, e-learning modules, multimedia content, manuals, job aids, and other learning materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus across teams
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex laws, practices, policies, or procedures
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing training events, assessing needs, evaluating sessions, planning, executing, and adapting training to meet organizational needs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and content-authoring tools such as Articulate, Storyline, or Captiva
