Job Description
The Staff Educator RN is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, documenting, and evaluating all educational programs for the Nursing Department.

Requirements

  • Planning and organizing educational programs
  • Coordinating with department heads for employee participation
  • Ensuring mandatory in-servicing is completed timely and documented
  • Coordinating orientation for new employees
  • Communicating assimilation status of new employees
  • Teaching safety practices and promoting a culture of safety
  • Keeping records of attendance at in-services
  • Coordinating competency testing for nursing staff
  • Implementing career ladder paths and supporting Stepping Stone Programs
  • Maintaining current CPR certification
  • Participating in meetings and discussions with administrators and department heads
