Job Description
Schnabel is an employee-owned, professional engineering and consulting firm seeking a Staff Engineer to join their team of multi-disciplinary professionals. The E&E Richmond office is looking for a motivated candidate with a desire to develop both field and analytical skills and be part of a strong team.

Requirements

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute geotechnical and site investigation field work
  • Use GIS/GPS and related technology to aid in planning and executing geotechnical and site investigation field work
  • Observe civil and environmental-related construction
  • Prepare field reports
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create plan sheets and figures for reports
  • Assign and review laboratory tests
  • Interpret data and perform calculations to support civil and environmental designs
  • Provide support on preparation of reports and proposals
  • Communicate with subcontractors, project managers, and clients about project progress and milestones to facilitate project performance
