Role OverviewWe are seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Jail Health Services department, providing medical services to the jail inmate population. The position is a 0.7 FTE, 8-hour shifts, Nights, Every Other Weekend.
What You Will Do
Initial medical screenings, triage for urgent medical needs, mandatory health assessments, and Tuberculosis screenings. Provide medical, mental health, and dental services on a 24-hour basis.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have 1 year of RN experience on Med/Surg, Mental Health, Addiction Medicine, TCU, or completed a preceptorship at the jail. Certification in area of clinical specialty preferred.
Requirements
- 1 year of RN experience on Med/Surg, Mental Health, Addiction Medicine, TCU, or completed a preceptorship at the jail
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
