Role OverviewThe Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and their families in the Cardiac Telemetry Unit 8B. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care.
What You Will Do
The nurse will formulate nursing diagnoses, teach, counsel, and provide care. They will also delegate tasks to assistive nursing personnel.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing and one year of critical care/acute care experience. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer knowledge, and skills in ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities
- One (1) year critical care/acute care experience
- Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer knowledge and skills
- Multidisciplinary team and patient
- Computer application skills – ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, Microsoft Excel
