Role OverviewThe Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and their families in the Cardiac Telemetry Unit 8B. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care.
What You Will Do
The nurse will formulate nursing diagnoses, teach, counsel, and provide care to patients. They will also delegate tasks to assistive nursing personnel.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care/acute care and excellent communication skills. They will also have experience with computer applications such as ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer knowledge and skills
- Multidisciplinary team and patient
- Computer application skills – ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, Microsoft Excel
