Role OverviewThe Pain Clinic Physician provides comprehensive clinical services through direct patient care and collaborates with the Director to develop and implement clinical standards, protocols, services, and quality management initiatives for the Pain Clinic.
What You Will Do
Deliver efficient, culturally sensitive, cost-effective, and high-quality medical care in the Pain Clinic. Evaluate inpatient and outpatient cases to determine treatment needs, follow-up care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or surgical services, and provide appropriate treatment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Manage acute and chronic pain patients, including surgical and non-surgical cases, utilizing various treatment modalities such as medication management, interventional procedures, and surgical procedures. Communicate with patients’ primary care or referring physicians to ensure coordination and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or ECFMG certification
- Completion of a residency or fellowship training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Current board certification in Anesthesiology or Pain Medicine by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty certification board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or AOA
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii
- During the period of employment, shall be and remain a member of the QMC medical staff in good standing with appropriate privileges without restriction
