Role OverviewStaff Psychiatrist is responsible for the psychiatric health and wellness of CARES clients, including assessment, prescribing processes, and supporting clinical services.
What You Will Do
Review treatment plans, interview clients, perform psychiatric examinations, order labs, prescribe medications, and provide input for enhanced client care.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be a board-certified, licensed psychiatrist in New York State with experience in clinical responsibility and oversight, excellent communication skills, and computer proficiency.
Requirements
- Board-certified, licensed to treat both children and adults in New York State
- Knowledge of typical and neurodiverse populations
- Understanding of Emergency Services in NY State
- Demonstrated experience in clinical responsibility and oversight for other professional staff members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Minimum of 10 hour commitment per week
- Free of any investigations or sanctions by local, state and/or federal regulatory agencies
