Job Description
Conduct studies with a mouse model of white matter stroke examining acute injury mechanisms to axons and oligodendrocytes. The successful candidate will have had prior experience with rodent survival surgeries and in training of these techniques to others.
Requirements
BS or BA in biological science or related experience
Previous work in neuroscience or brain research fields
Previous experience with mouse or rat survival surgeries and/or behavioral testing
Ability to learn new software or laboratory techniques as needed
Skill in reading and interpreting scientific journal articles in order to stay current in laboratory techniques and protocols
Excellent verbal and written fluency in English
Ability to cut and process tissue for histological and immunohistochemical stains using a cryostat
