Role OverviewThe Staff Scientist will establish and optimize human iPSC-derived neuronal models, develop assays to investigate vesicular trafficking and activity-dependent neuronal repair, integrate mammalian systems with discoveries from zebrafish regeneration, and provide technical leadership and mentoring in advanced neuronal culture and imaging methodologies.
What You Will Do
Designs research protocols, assists in developing and conducting research projects, performs complex statistical analysis of data collected, and writes interpretative reports.

Requirements
- Master’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with human iPSC-derived neuronal differentiation and culture (preferred)
- Expertise in mammalian neuronal biology, synaptic or vesicular trafficking, and advanced fluorescence microscopy (preferred)
- Experience with CRISPR, quantitative image analysis, and molecular biology techniques (preferred)
- Strong record of independent research and scientific communication (preferred)
