Role OverviewPartly is a company that connects the world's parts by building the AI infrastructure layer for the global repair industry. The Staff/Senior Staff Software Engineer will own mission-critical systems end to end, design, build, and operate the SaaS platform and public API. The engineer will set technical direction beyond their own team, lead architecture across services and teams, and make the reliability, consistency, and performance trade-offs.
What You Will Do
The engineer will own systems across team boundaries, be accountable for something important, and make decisions with leverage. They will write production code, spend real time making other engineers better, and direct the work and output of the engineers around them.

Requirements
- Typically 6+ years building and operating complex production systems
- A track record of owning systems across team boundaries
- Firmly grounded fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, architecture, API design, testing, and judgment
- Strong instincts for data modelling (relational and NoSQL) and clear views on when a model is wrong
- Experience building reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Excellent written communication skills
