Job Description
Traba is seeking a Staff Applied Agent Engineer to lead the development of its agentic platform, partnering with the CTO to make architectural calls and setting the bar for quality and reliability. The ideal candidate has experience building agents that survived contact with reality, strong opinions on agent-building, and a background in vertical AI or AI-agent companies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on production work on LLM- or agent-based systems
  • Deep proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js
  • Distributed systems, APIs, and data models on PostgreSQL and modern messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ownership of a non-trivial production agent system
  • Background in vertical AI / AI-agent company, Palantir/Scale-style FDE, or an AI-native data company
