Job Description

Ursa Major is seeking a Staff Turbomachinery Engineer to join a small team focused on refining turbomachinery technology. The role involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting new turbomachinery platforms, working with existing systems, and contributing to engine test and development. This is a hybrid position based in Berthoud, Colorado or a remote position with regular travel.

Requirements

B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
5+ years’ experience in turbomachinery design and development
2+ years’ experience with CAD software (NX or PTC Creo preferred)
Significant experience in rotor dynamics, turbine stage aero-mechanical design, hydrodynamics, turbomachinery layout and design, and turbine analysis software.
Fluency in at least one major industry CFD software (CFX, Fluent etc.).
Strong technical expertise in structural and thermal analysis with Ansys FEA.
