Role OverviewThe START Therapeutic Coach provides support to persons with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental or behavioral health needs and their family/primary caregivers who are temporarily accessing crisis or planned therapeutic services with START. The START Therapeutic Coach implements therapeutic interventions for individuals served in the START program, supports caregivers in implementing the intervention plan, and works with the clinical team to provide observational feedback about the individuals needs and progress.
What You Will Do
Implement person-centered therapeutic interventions within an individual's home and support primary caregivers with also implementing these interventions. Conduct observational assessments and provide feedback to the START team about biopsychosocial factors influencing current functioning, effects of interventions, and coaching outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or other human service-related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs
- Ability to interact effectively with people with IDD and behavioral health needs
- Ability to communicate effectively in the context of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to represent the mission of RMHS effectively in the community and workplace
- Time management and organizational skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed
- Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to position, including HIPAA, professional standards, documentation, ethics, etc.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional demeanor
