Role OverviewThe Sterile Processing Aide will assist in the decontamination, preparation, and storage of sterile supplies and equipment. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to proper PPE attire, and understanding of sterilization methods.
What You Will Do
The Sterile Processing Aide will identify and use appropriate methods to decontaminate instruments, sort and disassemble equipment, and properly handle and store sterile supplies. They will also operate and understand equipment specific to SPD, such as sterilizers and cart washers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. They will also have a high school education or GED, and successful completion of a Medical Terminology course or CCH Medical Terminology challenge exam.
Requirements
