Job Description
Responsible for workflow supervision of all activities related to Decontamination, Packaging, Sterilization, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing required.
  • Recognized SPD certification required.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
  • Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
  • Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
  • Must maintain certification status and the annual educational hours required by each of the organizations.
