Job Description
The Storage & Data Protection Engineer 2 position at HDR supports 24/7 operations and requires scheduled on-call flexibility. The role involves administering vSAN storage policies, monitoring storage capacity, and operating VCF-native data protection capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience with VMware Live Recovery, Commvault, Veeam, or backup platform migration efforts, and familiarity with NVMe, modern storage architecture, and workload performance design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise storage, backup, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSAN administration and storage policy management.
  • Experience supporting backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Experience with storage capacity planning, performance analysis, and operational troubleshooting.
