Requirements
- High school degree
- Ability to create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated
- Ability to gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department
- Ability to recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of grocery specials
- Ability to check product quality and ensure freshness
- Ability to label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Ability to report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- Ability to adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained
- Ability to reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
