Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Storekeeper 2 to lead a team of incarcerated individuals in receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing stock, supplies, and equipment. The successful candidate will enforce storeroom or warehouse procedures, inventory and order supplies, and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
What You Will Do
The Storekeeper 2 will be responsible for issuing and exchanging clothing items and shoes for incarcerated individuals, storing and rotating stock, updating and maintaining logs and records, and operating related equipment. They will also follow all applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have formal education in arithmetic, 6 months of training or experience in inventory control, and 3 months of training or experience in OSHA and/or other safety standards and practices. They will also have strong problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail skills.
