Strategic Buyer

The Strategic Buyer plays a critical role in supplier performance, cost control, lead time reduction, and purchase order execution. This role contributes to oversight of supplier relationships, purchasing decisions, and inventory planning to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of raw materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.

What You Will Do

Assist in determining the best sourcing strategies, develop inventory strategies, analyze market trends, build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key suppliers, and ensure compliance with all Company, Industry, and Customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) or High school diploma with 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, sourcing, or supply chain roles
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry (preferred) or equivalent experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and lead within cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated initiative, positive energy, and continuous improvement mindset
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems
