Role OverviewAs a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will create, modify, and maintain finite element models (FEMs) of components and systems, with applications including stress analysis, structural dynamics, optical performance, and test correlation.
What You Will Do
Perform structural finite element analysis (FEA) for a range of solutions and load types, including static, nonlinear, thermal distortion, modal, and structural dynamics (vibration & shock).
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, aerospace, or structural engineering, with experience in commercial mechanical analysis tools such as HyperMesh, FEMAP, and NASTRAN.
Requirements
- BS and/or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or similar Engineering field
- 4+ years of work experience with heavy emphasis on FEA
- Experience or expertise in one or more of the following commercial mechanical analysis tools: HyperMesh, FEMAP, NASTRAN
- Experience in one of the following areas: Spacecraft, Aeronautics, Composite Structures, Optical Systems
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident)
