Role Overview

The Structural Business Class Lead is responsible for the growth, operations, and technical leadership of the structural team. This includes design, staff development, mentoring, workload management, profitability, morale, and quality control. The Section Manager will also be responsible for building strong external and internal client relationships with other HDR business group leadership as well as participation in marketing and project planning.

What You Will Do

Establish client relations, manage technical and operational activities, prepare/review project budgets and scopes, schedule and coordinate work, establish work priorities and project assignments, monitor scope of work and scope changes, facilitate coordination with other discipline groups, conduct interviews, establish employee goals, schedule section meetings, advance skill level of personnel, coordinate with other business group locations, prepare/review structural engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates, monitor changes in codes, regulations and client standards, implement changes into structural design standards, procedures, and deliverables.
