Role OverviewThis role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote. You'll utilize creativity and innovation to develop CAD 3D design models of steel structures and concrete foundations. You'll work with senior designers, mechanical and electrical designers, and travel to client facilities to verify on-site physical design conditions.
What You Will Do
Support senior designers by producing structural drawings on-time and within budget, while maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, optimizing the overall design.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design. Proficiency in at least one major CAD software is required, and awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manuals is a plus.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
- CAD certificate required if non-degreed
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation)
- Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design
- Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design
- Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
