Job Description
HDR is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Omaha, NE. As a Structural Engineer, you'll review structural documents, write and edit structural specifications, and coordinate the work of the structural design team. You'll also participate in reviews with governing agencies and conduct design development and contract document work sessions. This role is a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.

Requirements

  • Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
  • Write and edit structural specifications
  • Select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations
  • Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team
  • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies
  • Conduct design development and contract document work sessions
  • Take responsibility for coordinating workload
  • Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines
  • Perform other duties as needed
