Role OverviewThe Structural Steel Fitter/Fabricator will fit and assemble structural framework, components, and materials such as angle iron, plates, WF sections, and other steel shapes and components. The role involves working with blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The candidate must have superior level layout and math skills, complete understanding of pre-heat functions, and ability to set-up and use track torch.
What You Will Do
The Structural Steel Fitter/Fabricator will perform tasks such as laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications. The candidate will also operate overhead cranes, properly fit mill to bear parts, and accurately perform complex heat corrections.
