Role OverviewAs a Structural Welder at Sundt, you will plan, lay-out, and perform all types of structural welding and fabrication work in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. You will work in other crafts at levels appropriate to your training and skills as requested by project supervision. You will maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew, produce high-quality work, and continually seek opportunities to share knowledge and teach others.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include inspecting subordinates' work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, and taking necessary corrective action. You will also eliminate waste, such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time. Additionally, you will be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, and safety and quality standards, and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be a fit for this role, you must have a minimum of three years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the structural welding trade. You must also be able to pass required weld tests and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
