Role OverviewThe Structured Cabling Installation Technician is responsible for installing, terminating, and managing cables, as well as installing and programming equipment for the company's clients. The role requires proficiency with various tools and ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The technician will work in an indoor medical setting and travel 100% to project locations.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include pulling and terminating cables, installing equipment, programming proprietary equipment, and troubleshooting client complex audio-video equipment. The technician will also manage inventory, complete daily reports, and provide world-class customer service.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environment
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers
- Ability to dress racks
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates
- Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
- Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
