Role OverviewThe Structured Cabling Installation Technician is responsible for installing and terminating cables, understanding cable flow and installation, and programming proprietary equipment for clients. The role requires proficiency with various tools and ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The technician will work in an indoor medical setting and travel to project locations.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include pulling and terminating cables, installing equipment, and programming proprietary equipment. The technician will also troubleshoot client equipment, manage inventory, and complete daily reports and project status updates.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environment
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates
- Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
