Shelving and re-shelving books2. Maintaining the order of the stacks3. Assisting with library displays4. Pulling materials for holds 5. Performs campus errands, such as deliveries between departments6. Light cleaning of shelves and computers7. Assisting in processing materials for addition to the collection8. Assisting the Circulation, Reference, and Technical Service departments as assigned9. Assist in the Print Room10. Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. GPA of 2.0 or above.2. Enrolled at JJC in at least 6 credit hours in the fall/spring semester.3. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.4. Ability to pay attention to detail and attain accuracy.5. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction, while also contributing effectively within a team-oriented environment.6. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1. Experience as a Library Page or other library experience.2. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.3. Demonstrated multicultural competence.WORK SCHEDULE-Must be available to work at least two to three weekdays (hours dependent on student schedule).-Total Hours Per Week: 10-15 hoursWORKING CONDITIONSDuties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
