Role OverviewAs the Student HireAbility Navigator, you will improve access to education, training services, and employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities who are students in the early phases of preparing for the transition to post-secondary education and employment. You will identify pre-employment transition services available to these students and develop and coordinate events, campaigns, and other activities to increase and foster student and family awareness of and access to these services.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include identifying, coordinating, and implementing strategies for increasing pre-employment services for students with disabilities, developing and sustaining relationships with system awareness and access to pre-employment services, and developing a comprehensive three-year action plan in consultation with the Board and the VR offices in the workforce development area, school districts, and other community partners.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field
- Prior experience working with youth
- Skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating among different partner organizations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to transport oneself to and from worksites with proof of current liability insurance coverage
